519 Magazine reported on the sudden passing of Goddo drummer Doug Inglis in June 2021. Messages of memories and condolences made their way across social media at the time, including Goddo band leader Greg Godovitz who changed his profile picture to a vintage pic of Doug, and a post simply saying “Doug Inglis – 1951-2021”.
Goddo was formed in the mid-1970s and quickly signed to a record deal with Polydor and released their self-titled debut in 1977. The band was a Canadian touring workhorse, recording and playing gigs throughout the 70s and early 80s. The band reformed for the 90s and continued to perform and release albums until they officially disbanded in 2018. Goddo is best remembered for their exciting and often exhaustingly energetic concerts, as well as their core albums from 1977 to 1981's Pretty Bad Boys, the last of the band’s golden era.
Doug also appears on albums by Doug Fenton (The Fenton Brothers) and The Anger Brothers (with Greg Godovitz and Bob Segarini).
