The Doors' Spirit Lives On: Peace Frog Captivates Windsor at The Olde Walkerville Theatre

Doors tribute band Peace Frog entertained a large crowd at The Olde Walkerville Theatre in Windsor on Saturday night (May 4). The two-hour show featured all the big hits you would expect and a few deeper cuts that only true Doors fans would appreciate.

Singer Tony Fernandez brings Morrison to life with his swagger and charisma, doing a spot-on vocal impression including his trademark wails. The band is based in Venice, California, the birthplace of The Doors, where Jim Morrison and Ray Manzarek first met. During the show Fernandez told the crowd that the band has a regular Sunday night spot at the legendary Viper Room in L.A., and that if anyone comes to a show and tells him they’re from Windsor, he’ll buy them a drink.
