Bluesfest Windsor Unveils Partial 2020 Lineup with The Trews, TLC, and Blues Legends

Things are gonna be hot in Windsor this July.

Nearly doubling its annual talent budget, Bluesfest Windsor is going all out for your entertainment dollars this year. YQG festival goers should easily find something to see on the award-winning festival’s six-day schedule, taking place July 10-12 and 17-19 at a newly renovated Festival Plaza. Ranging from rock and blues to retro pop and some other surprises still to be announced, Bluesfest is bringing the stars out to play.

While the festival still hasn’t announced its two Friday lineups, other days include The Trews on Saturday, July 11, The Saints and Sinners Tour with Big Wreck, Headstones, Moist and The Tea Party on Sunday, July 12, TLC and Jenny Berggren from Ace of Base on July 18 and an eight-band blues extravaganza on Sunday, July 19 with Cash Box Kings and Carolyn Wonderland leading the way.

Spokesman Rob Petroni feels this is the biggest and strongest lineup yet, giving the festival a party atmosphere similar to bigger festivals like Boots and Hearts.

"Over the last few years Bluesfest attendees and ticket buyers have proved to us that they just want to party,” Rob told 519. “It’s a party, they’re coming to a party and we’re going to provide them the best party in Southern Canada – come for a great time, be seen, and be ready to party."

While more acts are still being booked and finalized, other highlights include Billy Raffoul with Jody Raffoul and Peter Raffoul on the same stage on July 11 with The Standstills and Red Wanting Blue. The blues lineup on July 19 is also completed by Albert Castiglia, Mike Zito, Paul Deslauriers Band, Annika Chambers, Scott Holt and Laura Rain and The Caesars.

Depending on the day, single passes for one-night start at $40, three- and six-day weekend passes come in at $125 and $250, with VIP passes starting at $100, three- and six-day VIP at $300 and $500. There’s also a new Ultra 6-Day pass for the entire festival that gets fans hanging out with the performers in a protected and isolated area, priced at $750.

Bluesfest Windsor is expected to make more announcements soon.
