It was all about "Big Shot" and "Rocket Man" at St. Clair College Centre for the Arts on Saturday night (February 16). “The Piano Men, The Music of Elton John and Billy Joel” performed to a sold-out dinner theatre crowd of around 600 guests, with four-course gourmet meals prepared by St. Clair’s culinary students – featuring cheese-stuffed chicken breast before rocking to 'Crocodile Rock' and 'Uptown Girl'.
The four-piece band that made up the tribute show performed a competent selection of hits from each artist that had the crowd filling the large dance floor in front of the stage, as well as the two large areas on either side. At the break, the performer playing Elton made a costume change and came back as Billy, executing a convincing switch in vocals and appearance and keeping the dance party going for the rest of the evening.

St. Clair Centre for the Arts does it all over again on Saturday, March 2 when they present a tribute to the music of Prince. Tickets for dinner and show are $55 each plus tax, or $500 for a table of 10 and can be purchased at www.chryslertheatre.com/events.
